Wisdom... Do I really get it

Hosea 14:9 states "Whoever is wise, let him understand these things; Whoever is discerning, let him know them. For the ways of the Lord are right, and the righteous will walk in them, but transgressors will stumble in them."

I've been pondering this verse for the last couple weeks. Scripture tells us all over the place to be wise (eph 5:15, the entire book of Proverbs) and as God always defines what He's asking of us - scripture also tells us what it means to be wise... in this case there seem to be three things that those who are wise will understand.

1) That the ways of the Lord are right - or in other words - When God says something, He's telling the truth! and when He says something is wrong, it is.

2) The righteous will walk in the ways of the Lord --- that's a whole 'nother topic --but let's just say we will be able to recognize the righteous by how they act

3) Transgressors will stumble in the ways of the Lord --- those who aren't right, will have problems with both 1 + 2.

It seems like an awfully simple verse but so much is packed inside!
